The wait was worth it!
This shot is one of my all-time favorites, and it became the cover for my second book, “New York Street Diaries.”
The backstory: I waited four hours at the Top of the Rock in NYC. It was completely covered with fog, but I had a feeling it would break early afternoon. I just stood and waited. When it finally happened, it was this incredible, magical moment—the sun slicing through the low-lying fog.
Sometimes, a scene just blows your mind, and all you can do is try your best to do it justice with the camera.
