STREET PHOTOGRAPHY SYMPOSIUM: Pavement NYC
Forthcoming event
Overview
The PAVEMENT Symposium brings together an expanded collective of visionaries, each offering a distinct perspective on the urban landscape. From Harvey Stein’s iconic documentation of New York and Meryl Meisler’s vibrant cultural archives, to the gritty, raw intimacy of Suzanne Stein, the depth of experience is profound. Joined by Phil Penman’s high-contrast, journalistic edge, Steve Simon’s ability to capture the fleeting, decisive moment, and David Brommer’s technical and atmospheric expertise, this faculty forms an unmatched powerhouse of street-level wisdom and decades of frontline experience.
The program is further elevated by the addition of Elizabeth Avedon and Stephen Mallon, who join the core faculty in conducting intensive portfolio reviews. This collective of mentors provides a rare opportunity for photographers to receive direct, critical feedback from a wide range of editorial, curatorial, and street-level perspectives, ensuring every participant has the guidance needed to refine their work into a definitive professional presence & statement
