A New York-based photographer has captured his impressions of the bustling city in a collection of street photography that particularly focuses on the manifestations of urban culture. From portraits to landscape shots, Phil Penman, who comes from a tiny village in Dorset, United Kingdom, captures different aspects of city life in bustling New York City.Penman's collection of mostly black and white photographs features people in their everyday life as they walk around sites in the city such as the Brooklyn Bridge and Battery Park as well as residents enjoying sports including cycling and skateboarding. An exhibition of his street photography opened at the Leica Store in New York on September 17 and is on show until November 15.
